Maya is a Berlin-born actor and creator with a passion for telling dynamic, thought-provoking stories that entertain and inspire. Raised in a multicultural household by a German-Syrian mother and a South African father, Maya’s upbringing was infused with rich, diverse perspectives that continue to shape her artistic vision today. She honed her craft at the prestigious RATA Studios in New Zealand, studying with renowned acting coach Miranda Harcourt. Her stage credits include “Impromptu” (Atze Theater, Berlin), and "Girl in the Loft" (BATS Theater, NZ). On camera she can be seen in “Mary Mary” (dir. Ella Gilbert). Maya now works as a freelance actor and creator in Berlin. “Wenches!” is her debut project as an emerging writer and creator. Drawing on her eclectic training, Maya’s work is marked by her commitment to authenticity, her love for humor, and her desire to bring spirited, relevant stories to life.
